The 2017 edition of the SEBD Symposium will be organized by Università della Calabria (Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Modellistica, Elettronica e Sistemistica DIMES), ICAR-CNR and ICT-SUD and will take place in Squillace Lido (Catanzaro), Italy, at Sun Beach Clubesse from the 25th to the 29th of June 2017. This year SEBD will celebrate the 25th edition of the symposium, which is the major annual event of the Italian database research community.
The symposium is thought as a gathering forum to meet, discuss and exchange experiences among all those, both in the academy and industry, who are interested in database systems and in all their broad range of applications. In addition to the usual program, this year a book collecting the major contributions made by the community in the last 25 year will be presented and an intriguing social program will be available for the participants. See you in Squillace Lido!

SEBD 2017 will be the 25th conference of this series. To celebrate properly this event, we planned an additional conference day of plenary sessions where the evolution of the database field will be drawn from different point of views by the groups that mostly contributed to the growth of our community over the years. Those contributions will be collected in a book edited by Springer in the "Studies in Big Data" series. |
